I AM SO SORRY THAT THE CHALET CANNOT BE CARRIED ON THE 13TH TO 15TH DUE TO BAD PLANNING!

it's the 5th tdy and i have YET to get 20 ppl plus SOMEONE TO BOOK THE PLACE.

i was thinking of pushing it back to the 27th jan to 29th jan,OR to have a BBQ plus tonning if you all want.so sorry abt it ):

• SS; Do more source-based. Follow the teacher's format when answering so that you won't mess up your points. When you're supposed to infer, refer to the theme and question before inferring, otherwise you'd end up inferring irrelevant things. And of course, memorise (& understand) your textbook.
• Geog; Understand what you're reading instead of memorising it blindly. And do more questions to perfect your answering skills. Follow the teacher's format when answering too.

• READ AND UNDERSTAND THE BLOODY TEXT. LOL.

• Practice makes perfect. DO TEN YEAR SERIES and other school's prelim papers. Don't understand, ASK TEACHER. Guaranteed distinction. Occasional careless mistakes are alright, but try to keep them to a minimal, because for O'levels, you usually need more than 85 marks to get an A2. (I said, usually.)

LISTEN to Mdm Padma when she shows you how to derive the formula or why we use this formula. You should know your concept well and know which formula to apply when doing questions because, they can combine differentiation and integration and kinematics and partial fractions and trigonometry and area under the curve all into one question, so it's important that you know how to approach questions like these. If you're familiar with all these, then you're on your way to a distinction.

• Practice makes perfect. Do more comprehension. For paper one, buy a booklet with model essays and note the expressions they use to bring across their points, see how they construct their sentences, and you can also pick up some cheem vocab and phrases along the way. Alternately, you can also memorise part of model essays (not the whole thing, just part of it.) and use them where appropriate. Try to polish up on your grammer skills.

• Physics; Understand the concept, don't blindly memorise. And practice makes perfect. We hardly do any questions in class, so your only choice is to DO TEN YEAR SERIES. Try to aim for 35/40 and above for MCQ paper one, 'cos all the MCQ questions are very standard. They just like to twist and turn the questions a little. Do more questions and you'll get the hang of it.
• Bio; memorise, memorise, memorise? LOL. Any Bio students wanna contribute any tips?

• According to our top students, read and understand the concept, then do the questions in the textbook. Alternately, you can also do the ten year series and most importantly, you should know the colours of various elements, their physical state in room temperature, blahblahblah. Oh, mole concept is quite important too. :D
